Looking forward to seeing all the educators from across Ohio at the OFSWCD Educator Workshop October 23 and 24, 2024 at Sauder Heritage Inn in NW Ohio (Area 1). Past educator workshop surveys have indicated a need to have a session on stream quality monitoring (SQM) for educators. We have looked at holding this training during the educator workshop but due to time constraints and wanting to optimize our time we have decided to offer this training the day before our full workshop.
Come join Jen Bowman, Ohio University (OU) and Dennis Clement, Ohio EPA facilitate this SQM training. Topics to be covered include:
• Macroinvertebrate monitoring
• Habitat evaluation
• My Backyard Stream, a free, state-wide, citizen science data platform conducted through Ohio University with activity units in chemistry, biology, and physical habitats.
