Come visit the Edge of the Farm Conservation Area to see how converted row crop and fallow ground has been restored to upland prairie and wetland habitats. Hear from amphibian researchers about the importance of wetlands here in Ohio. Then hear from a great speaker while enjoying lunch at Pyramid Hill and explore the contemporary sculpture collection. Wrap up the day at the local Rumpke facility and discover how Rumpke operates one of the nation’s largest waste and recycling companies while fulfilling their mission to use innovation to preserve the planet. (Comfortable clothes and shoes are necessary as the morning stop will be walking on rough and uneven ground at the Edge of the Farm Conservation Area. The lunch stop will have walking paths to visit the outdoor sculpture exhibits.)
