CSI Shawnee: Summer Camp Registration is Open

CSI: Shawnee Science Camp is an innovative and inexpensive experience for students in 5th 8th grade.  Camp includes a 2 day and 2 night stay at Boy Scout Camp Oyo and will cover many conservation and environmental science topics.  Students will gain a greater understanding of the world around them and learn about careers in the natural resources fields.  Camp dates set for July 21-23, 2015.

CSI: Shawnee camp covers four main lessons which include forestry, stream ecosystems, canoeing and lake study, and an insect and reptile session.  Each year different unique experiences are added. In 2014 experiences included bird tagging and observation of the surgical implantation of tracking device into a timber rattlesnake. You will have to wait for camp to find out what surprises we have for 2015!

Camp is open to any student in the eligible grades.  In the rare occurrence that all camper openings are filled, preference is give to students from Scioto, Adams, Brown, Pike, and Highland Counties of Ohio.  Once camp registration is received begin to look for a packet of forms and information in the mail!
